Changing the index number for a favorite on your phone (VVX 50x/60x series)

You can reorder your contacts within the favorites list and on the display. Favorites with the lowest index numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) appear at the beginning of your list and on your display.

An existing index number for a favorite contact cannot be assigned to a new contact if it is already in use. To swap the order of two existing favorites, one of the contacts will need to be temporarily assigned an available number. Editing a contact's index number can be done using the contact's information or favorites list.

To edit a contact's index number using the contact entry:

  1. Press and hold the gray silhouette for one of your favorites.
  1. Tap the pencil icon to edit.
  1. Swipe up on the display to locate the Favorite Index field and tap Favorite Index.
  1. On the keypad, enter the new index number.
  1. Tap the Save soft key.

To edit a contact's index number via the favorites list:

  1. Tap the clock icon, then tap the Favorites soft key.
  1. Swipe the display up and down to locate your contact.
  1. With your contact selected, tap the i icon, then tap the pencil icon to edit.
  1. Swipe up on the display to locate the Favorite Index field (indicates the current index number).
