Using order templates

You can create order templates from OLOF or DTFO orders you have submitted previously.

Some details about using order templates:

Once you've created an order template, it will display the information entered on the original order.  When you access an order template to use it, you will need to review it and update the order request with any new information specific for the new order.

You can't restore an order template that's been deleted.  If an order template is accidentally deleted, you'll need to create a new one (from a submitted OLOF or DTFO).

Creating an order template

To create an order template:

  1. Click Orders, click Order Status, then click Preliminary Order Status.

    Control Center shows all pending orders and orders completed within the past 90 days for Switched Batch, Dedicated Batch, and DTFO. Control Center also lists your View/Modify Call Plan changes and your OLOF orders.

  1. Order Templates are created from Submitted OLOF/DTFO orders.  In the “Search For…” list, select Status.  The Search field will appear, enter the status of Submitted.  You can use enter key on your keyboard or click the icon to the right of the Search field.

 

Search is case sensitive.  Please ensure to enter the Status as Submitted, as it is shown when the Preliminary Order Status page loads and displays all orders.  Entering submitted as lower case will not pull up any results.

 

Alternate searches: 

 

You can "Search For..." OnLine Order Form or DTFO (case sensitive). You can use asterisks for a wildcard search, example *On or DT*.

 

If you know the OLOF/DTFO order ID, you can search by Parent Order ID and retrieve that specific order.

  1. Hover over the "T" icon under the Actions column; the Create Template from Order label is displayed.  After you click the "T" icon for the desired order, the Create New Template pop up will appear.  Enter Template Name and click Save Template button.

  1. The message will change to confirm the new template has been created successfully.  You can click the Open Template button to go directly into the OLOF/DTFO order form, or click the Close button.

Viewing a list of order templates

To view a list of your order templates:

  1. Click Orders, click Manage Orders, then click Order Templates.

Deleting an order template

You can't restore an order template that's been deleted.  If an order template is accidentally deleted, you'll need to create a new one (from a submitted OLOF or DTFO).

To delete an order template:

  1. Click Orders, click Manage Orders, then click Order Templates.

  1. On the row for the order template you want to delete, click the trash can icon (in the Actions column).
  1. In the window that appears, click OK.

    Control Center deletes the order template you selected.
