Changing a Fiber+ Internet service

You can request changes to a Lumen® Fiber+ Internet service using Control Center to request changes such as extending the contract term, upgrading bandwidth, adding more IP addresses, or switching from your own device to a Lumen-provided device. If you no longer need a service, you can create an order to disconnect it.

To change a Fiber+ Internet service:

  1. Click Services.

    Control Center shows the Services console. Use the console to access an inventory of your services, check the status of orders, and manage your services.

  1. In the Network, Security, and Communications box, click Fiber+ Internet.

    Control Center shows all Fiber+ Internet services on the enterprise ID.
  1. When you find the service you want to work with, click the hyperlinked service ID or click the icon (in the Actions column), then click View Details.

  1. Click Change Services.

  1. Do any of the following to make changes to the service:

    • To increase the contract term for the service, select an option in the Term field.

    • To increase the bandwidth for the service, select an option in the Bandwidth field.

    • To switch from providing your own device to using a Lumen-provided device, click Lumen Provided (under Device Preference). If you change to a Lumen-provided device, Control Center adds the on-site installation for you.

    • To switch from using a Lumen-provided device to providing your own device, click Customer Provided (under Device Preference).

    • To add more IP addresses, select an option from the IP Address list.

    • To add Lumen® Edge Protect, select Yes.

    • To remove Lumen Edge Protect, select No.

As you make changes to the service, Control Center shows the changes to your monthly changes (and, if applicable, one-time changes).

  1. When you're done making changes, click NEXT.
  1. Review the summary of your changes, then click NEXT. (To make changes, click BACK and return to step 6.)
  1. Click Configure.
  1. Use the fields shown to select contacts for your order: technical contact, primary and secondary onsite content, shipping contact.
  1. If you selected to add a Lumen-provided device, use the Device Shipping Address field to tell us where you want us to ship the device:

    • To ship the device to the address shown in the Installation Address field, select the Ship Device to Installation Address radio button.

    • To ship the device to another location, select the Ship Device to a Different Address radio button and type the address.
  1. In the Requested Install Date field, select the date you'd like these changes to take effect.
  1. In the Billing section, type the billing contact for this order, then select the radio button for the billing account number you want to apply this order to.
  1. Click SAVE ORDER DETAILS.
  1. Click CHECKOUT.
  1. In the Order Contact field, select or type a contact for this order.
  1. If you want to add a purchase order number or identifier for tracking the order within your organization, type it in the My Purchase Order Number field.
  1. Review the terms and conditions associated with the order, then select the checkbox to acknowledge you agree to the terms.
  1. Click SUBMIT ORDER.

    Control Center submits your order. You can now track its status online.
