Muting a monitoring incident

Use Lumen® Edge Service Manager to mute an incident, which removes the incident from availability calculations. The Edge Service Manager enables you to view a list of incidents and outages, and create, edit and view details of each incident. In addition, you can view, unmute, close, and reopen monitoring incidents.

To mute a monitoring incident:

  1. Click Monitoring, then click Incidents.

    The Edge Service Manager shows the list of incidents.

  1. Use the search fields to filter incidents.

    The Edge Service manager shows the list of incidents.
  1. Click an incident name from the list of added incidents.

  1. Click MUTE on the incident details page.
  1. In the confirmation window, click OK.

    The Edge Service Manager mutes the incident.
