Use Control Center to create an Edge user and assign a role to the user. You must have a user with Edge Orchestration Read/Write role assignment to provision and manage services within the Edge Services portal. You determine the user permissions during the user creation process. Here is a summary of the steps to create an Edge user in Control Center.
Refer to Creating a new Control Center user to create an Edge user in Control Center with access to the Edge Services portal, set the username for a new user account, and assign a role to the user. The selections made when creating a user determine access to the Edge Services portal.
Note: To add Edge Services portal access to a user, select one of the following options in the Permissions section during account setup:

After you complete the process to create a user, Control Center sends two emails to the new user:

After you receive the username and temporary password emails, complete step 2.
A system administrator creates a user in Control Center. A user, then, signs in to Control Center using the username and temporary password emailed to them, to complete the setup as defined in Signing in to Control Center for the first time. This article describes how to accept the terms and conditions, create a new password, and set up security questions. After the account setup is complete, the Control Center homepage appears. To navigate to the Edge Services portal from Control Center, complete step 3.
A user accesses the Edge Service portal from the Control Center homepage. Use the left-navigation tabs, click Services, click Edge Services, click Compute, then click Edge Bare Metal. Refer to Signing in to the Edge Services portal for detailed information about signing in to the portal to provision and manage Edge services.
