Creating a route on an AWS VPC router

Use the Edge Services portal to create a route on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtual private cloud (VPC) router created during setup. After you create the route for the AWS VPC router, you can perform actions such as editing or deleting it.

Important: You must create an AWS cloud before creating a route for an AWS VPC router.

To create a route for an AWS VPC router:

  1. Click Infrastructure, then click Network.

    The Edge Services portal shows the networks created for your organization.

  1. Click Routers.

    The Edge Services portal shows the routers created for your organization.

  1. Click the AWS VPC router to add a route to.

    The Edge Services portal shows details for the AWS VPC router you selected.

  1. Click Routing.

    The Edge Services portal shows a list of routes associated with the AWS VPC router you selected.

  1. Click + CREATE ROUTE.

    The Edge Services portal shows the Create Route window.

  1. In the window that appears, complete the following fields as needed:
Field Description

NAME

 Type a unique name for the route.

DESCRIPTION

Type a description for the route.

ENABLED

 Select this checkbox to mark the route as active.

DEFAULT ROUTE

 Select this option to mark this route as the default route for the AWS VPC router.

ROUTE TABLE

 Select the route table associated with the route.

NETWORK

 Type the IP address of the network associated with the route.

DESTINATION TYPE

 Select the destination type for the route.

 Select the destination for the route
  1. Click +CREATE.

    The Edge Services portal creates the route for the AWS VPC router.
