Use the Edge Services portal to create an Azure cloud. When you create an Azure cloud, it creates a link to your existing Azure subscription, enabling you to provision an Azure instance. After you create the cloud, you can view details and perform actions such as editing or deleting.
To create an Azure cloud:
Field | Description |
NAME | Type a unique name for the Azure cloud. |
CODE | Type a unique identifier to be used by the API, automation, and policies. |
LOCATION | Type a location or description of a region for the cloud. |

Select one of the following options:

SUBSCRIPTION ID |
Type the Azure subscription ID obtained from your Azure account.

TENANT ID |
Type the directory ID obtained from your Azure account. |
CREDENTIALS |
Select the Azure account credentials to connect to the Edge Services portal:

SECRET STORE | Select Internal. This field is only available if you selected Local Credentials for Credentials. |
CLIENT ID |
Type the application ID obtained from your Azure account. |
CLIENT SECRET |
Type the application secret obtained from your Azure account. |
REGION |
Select the location or region for the cloud. This field populates based on previous field entries. |
RESOURCE GROUP |
Select a resource group to focus resource creation, selection, and discovery on. To allow resources for all resource groups in the specified region, select All. |
INVENTORY LEVEL |
Select one of the following options:

Type the datacenter ID. Use this field only if price scaling is set up in your Azure account. |
NETWORK MODE |
Select Unmanaged. |

Select one of the following options:

DISK ENCRYPTION | Select one of the following options:

CSP TENANT ID | Type the directory ID obtained from your Azure account. |
CSP CLIENT ID | Type the application ID obtained from your Azure account. |
CSP CLIENT SECRET | Type the client secret obtained from your Azure account. |
AZURE COSTING MODE | Select one of the following options:

SKIP CLIENT VALIDATION | Select this option to skip the client validation process. |

PROXY | This field is unavailable. |
BYPASS PROXY FOR APPLIANCE URL | Select this option to bypass available proxy settings for communication between the Edge Services portal and the appliance URL. |
NO PROXY | Type a comma-separated list of IP addresses or name servers to exclude from proxy traversal. |
USER DATA (LINUX) | Type or paste the user data script. |

USE EXISTING/CREATE NEW | Select one of the following options:

GROUP | Select an existing user group to assign to the cloud. This field is only available if you selected the CREATE NEW option. |
NAME | Type a name for the group. |
CODE | Type a user-defined identifier for the group. |
LOCATION | Type a user-defined value describing the group in relation to your organization. |
ADVANCED OPTIONS | Ignore this section. |
