Deleting a cloud

Use the Edge Services portal to delete a cloud created for your organization and integrated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. When you delete a cloud, the Edge Services portal removes the link to the cloud provider account, but no information or resources on the cloud are deleted. You can also edit AWS clouds and Azure clouds and view cloud details.

Important: Lumen does not back up data when a cloud is deleted. Before deleting a cloud, back up any data needed for your records. 

To delete a cloud:

  1. Click Infrastructure, then click Clouds.

    The Edge Services portal shows the clouds created for your organization.

  1. Click a cloud to view more information.  
     
    The Edge Services portal shows details for the cloud you selected. Details vary based on the type of cloud and your role.

  1. Review the details for the cloud to ensure that you selected the correct one, then click DELETE.
  1. In the confirmation window, click OK.  

    The Edge Services portal securely erases the cloud, removes it from the CLOUDS list, and removes the link to the cloud provider account.
