Editing an Azure network

Use the Edge Services portal to edit an Azure network created for your organization. You can edit details such as the name, description, and associated cloud. You can also view details. If no longer needed, you can delete a network or subnet.

To edit an Azure network:

  1. Click Infrastructure, then click Network.

    The Edge Services portal shows the networks created for your organization.

  1. Click an Azure network to view more information.  
      
    The Edge Services portal shows details for the Azure network you selected. Details vary based on your role.

  1. Click EDIT.  
      
    The Edge Services portal shows the Edit Network window.

  1. In the Edit Network window, edit the following fields: 
Field Description

GROUP

 This field displays the group assigned to the network. You cannot edit this field.

NAME

 This field shows the name of the network. You cannot edit this field.

DISPLAY NAME

 Type a unique name for the network as it will be displayed in the Networks list.

DESCRIPTION

 Type a description of the network. 

CIDR

 This field shows the Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) number for the network. You cannot edit this field. 

RESOURCE GROUP

 This field shows the resource group assigned to the network. You cannot edit this field. 

SUBNET NAME

 This field shows the name of the network subnet. You cannot edit this field. 

SUBNET CIDR

 This field shows the network subnet CIDR number. You cannot edit this field. 

ACTIVE

 Select this option to activate the network.

DHCP SERVER

 Select this option if the network has a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server assigning IP addresses to hosts.

ALLOW IP OVERRIDE

 Select this option if the subnet has the same IP address space within its parent network.

DOMAIN

 Select the domain to associate with this subnet.
  1. In the Advanced Options section, edit the following fields:

SEARCH DOMAINS

 Type a comma-separated list of domains to add to the subnet DNS configuration.

PROXY

 This field is unavailable.

BYPASS PROXY FOR APPLIANCE URL

 Select this option to bypass any added proxy settings for communication between the Edge Services portal and the applicance URL for the cloud.

NO PROXY

 Type a list of IP address or servers to exclude from communication through the proxy.
  1. In the Guest Console SSH Tunnel section, edit the following fields:

GUEST CONSOLE JUMP HOST

 Type the DNS hostname or IP address of the jump host.

GUEST CONSOLE JUMP PORT

Type the port for secure socket shell (SSH) if you are using a port other than port 22.

GUEST CONSOLE JUMP USERNAME

 Type the username to authenticate to the jump host.

GUEST CONSOLE JUMP PASSWORD

 Type the password to authenticate to the jump host.

GUEST CONSOLE JUMP KEYPAIR

 Type the keypair saved in the Edge Services portal to be used in lieu of, or in addition to, the password to the jump host.
  1. In the Group Access section, edit the following fields:

all

 Select this option to grant all groups access to this subnet.

Group Name

Select one of the following options for each of the groups:

  • Access—Grant the group access to the Azure subnet.
  • Default—Assign the subnet as the default Azure subnet for the group.
  1. Click SAVE CHANGES.  
      
    The Edge Services portal edits the Azure network.
