Editing global settings of a security group on an instance

Use the Edge Services portal to edit the global settings of a security group for provisioned instances. You can edit the name and description of the security group and activate or deactivate the security group. You can add or remove a security group on an instance and add, edit, and delete security group rules. You can also view details about, create, or delete a security group.

To edit global settings of a security group on an instance:

  1. Click Infrastructure, then click Network.

    The Edge Services portal shows the networks created for your organization.

  1. Select the Security Groups tab.

    The Edge Services portal shows the security groups for your organization.

  1. Click the security group.

    The Edge Services portal shows the security group details page.

  1. Click EDIT.

    The Security Group window appears.

  1. In the Security Group window, edit the following fields:
Field Description
NAME Edit the name of the security group.
DESCRIPTION Edit the description of the security group.
SCOPED CLOUD Displays the available clouds for the security group. You cannot edit this field.
ACTIVE Select this option to activate the security group. Deselect this option to deactivate the security group.
  1. Click SAVE CHANGES.

    The Edge Services portal saves the edits to the security group.
