Integrating a Git account

Use the Edge Services portal to integrate a Git account and connect to a repository to source your code for automating tasks.

Use Git account integration to retrieve content for the following:

To integrate a Git account:

  1. Click Administration, then click Integrations.

    The Edge Services portal shows the integrations created for your organization.

  1. Click New Integration, then select Git repository.

    The Edge Services portal shows the New Git Integration window.

  1. In the New Git Integration window, complete the following fields:
Field Description
NAME Type a unique name for the Git repository.
ENABLED To enable code in this repository to be used for automation, select this option. It is selected by default.
GIT URL Type the URL location of the Git repository.
DEFAULT BRANCH Type the default repository branch where the script is stored.
USERNAME Type your username.
PASSWORD Type your access token here. For GitHub and GitLab, password authentication is no longer supported. 
ACCESS TOKEN Currently an unsupported field. Leave blank.
KEY PAIR If you want GitHub SSH authentication (Secure Shell), select a SSH stored keypair.
ENABLE GIT REPOSITORY CACHING
  • To use a cached version of code that is less than 5 minutes old, select this option. 
  • To retrieve code from the repository each time it is invoked, clear this option. We recommend clearing this option.
  1. Click SAVE CHANGES.

    The Edge Services portal integrates the Git account.
