Use Edge Services portal to create or edit a check and organize it into a monitoring or app group. You can select one of several built-in check types based on the service or instance type you provision. You can also view a list of checks already created and view details for each check. You can mute and unmute a check to determine how it affects open incidents and delete a check you no longer need.
To create a check:
Field Name | Description |
NAME | Type a name for the check. |
TYPE | Select a check type and complete the corresponding fields. |
INTERVAL | Select the frequency a check is run. |
MAX SEVERITY | Select the maximum severity level impact for a check fail. |
AFFECTS AVAILABILITY | Select if this check impacts overall system availability calculations. |
Field Name | Description |
SSH HOST | Type a name or IP address for the host you are connecting to. |
SSH PORT | Type the port number of the Secure Shell Protocol (SSH) service. |
USERNAME | Enter username if not using SSH key pairs. |
PASSWORD | Enter password if not using SSH key pairs. |
ENABLE SSH TUNNEL | Select to allow check to use SSH Tunnel. |
Click SAVE CHANGES.
The Edge Services portal creates a check.
