Creating an app monitor

Use Edge Services portal to create app monitors. App monitors display a collection of failures or impact events based on a set of checks that can be sorted by monitoring groups. Edge Services portal also enables you to view, edit, delete and mute app monitors.

To create an app monitor:

  1. Click Monitoring, then click Apps.

  1. In the Add New App window, complete the following fields:

 

Field

Description

NAME

Type a name for the app monitor.

DESCRIPTION

Type a description (optional).

MAX SEVERITY

Select a maximum level for the failed app. Options include Critical, Warning, and Info.

EFFECTS AVAILABILITY

Select the checkbox if it affects the availability of calculations in the system.

APP CHECKS

 Search for and add one or more checks you previously created.
  1. Click SAVE.

    Edge Services portal creates the new app monitor.
