Use the Edge Services portal to perform various actions on virtual machines provisioned for your organization such as starting, stopping, and restarting your virtual machine. You can use the portal to view and edit the details of your provisioned instances and lock and unlock your virtual machine. If you no longer need a virtual machine, you can delete it.
To start, stop, or restart a virtual machine:
- Click Provisioning, then click Instances.
The Edge Services portal shows the instances (e.g., bare metal servers, virtual machines) created for your organization.
- Click a virtual machine to view more information.
The Edge Services portal shows details for the virtual machine you selected. Details vary based on the type of instance and your permissions.
- Click Actions, then do one of the following:
- To stop the virtual machine, click the Actions list, then click Stop Server. (Stopping a virtual machine does not stop billing. To stop billing for a virtual machine, delete the virtual machine.)
- To start the virtual machine, click the Actions list, then click Start Server.
- To restart the virtual machine, click the Actions list, then click Restart Server.
