Adding an IP‑group definition to a configuration

Use an IP-group definition to create a custom grouping of IP addresses.

  1. From the main menu, select My Services > Caching

  1. From the lists, select the access group and SCID (service component ID) you want to work with.

  1. From the list, select the configuration. 

To add an IP-group definition to a configuration:

  1. From an open configuration, click Edit Configuration.

  1. In the Service-Wide Definition section, click IP Groups.

    Media portal lists the IP-group definitions for the configuration (if any).

  1. Click New Definition.

  1. Type a name for the definition. (You can leave the auto-generated name or type a name more meaningful to you.)
  1. Add IP addresses to the definition:

    1. In the IP Addresses in field, type an IP address you want to include in the definition.

    2. To add additional IP addresses, click Add, then repeat step a.
  1. If you need to edit or add other definitions, continue editing the configuration without saving. (Saving the configuration creates a new version.) When you're done editing the configuration, continue with step 7.
  1. Click Save (above the Service-Wide Definition section). You can also click Save As to save the configuration under a new name.
  1. If needed, make any notes to describe the changes you made
  1. Click Save again.

    Media portal saves the configuration with the new definition.
