Requesting a certificate for your migrated properties
When moving your CDN services to Lumen, follow these guidelines to switch over your traffic without interruption to your customers.
To request a certificate for your migrated properties:
Create a Let's Encrypt certificate. In addition to your common name and additional SAN domains, add a temporary property that will serve as a redirection point from your current CDN provider. (This is only temporary and can be removed after the certificate is provisioned.)
Add the Lumen CName record to your DNS system for the temporary property only. To avoid interrupting your service, don't add any other CNames at this time.
Create a property on a configuration (using the Let's Encrypt certificate you just created). Be sure that the primary alias matches the common name on the certificate and the secondary aliases match all SAN domains—including the temporary redirection property.
