Installing Business Communicator on your laptop or desktop computer

If your organization’s administrator assigned Business Communicator to you, you can download the file for either your Windows or Mac laptop or desktop computer from the VoIP portal. You can also find a Business Communicator mobile version for Android in Google Play or iOS in the App Store.

To download Business Communicator on your laptop or desktop computer:

  1. Log in to the VoIP portal.
  1. From the VoIP portal main menu, click Help.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Downloads section, then click either the Business Communicator MAC or Business Communicator Windows link.

  1. Click Run.

    The Business Communicator Setup wizard launches.
  1. From the Installer Language list, select the language you would like, then click OK.
  1. Click Next.

  1. Read the agreements, then click Agree for each agreement.

  1. In the Install Options window, do the following:

    • To always run Business Communicator when your computer is running (we recommend), keep the Always run Business Communicator when the system starts checkbox selected.

    • To create a Business Communicator icon on your desktop, select the Create Business Communicator Desktop Icon checkbox.
  1. Click Next.

  1. From the Choose Install Location window, select where you want Business Communicator to install on your computer. By default, the wizard chooses a location (we recommend leaving it) or click Browse to choose another location.

 

    If you selected the application to start when your system runs, Business Communicator automatically launches. If you didn’t choose that option, go to the desktop to open the program to sign in.
  1. Click Next.
  1. From the Choose Start Menu Folder window, select the default setting, then click Install.

    The wizard runs the Business Communicator installation.
  1. After Business Communicator installation is complete, click Next.
  1. Click Finish.
    2. If you selected the application to start when your system runs, Business Communicator automatically launches. If you didn’t choose that option, go to the desktop to open the program to sign in.
