As you’re making or receiving a call, the Business Communicator active call window opens next to the main window. Use the active call window features to put a caller on hold, end the call, transfer a call, or start a conference.
Note: If you want to IM/chat with a contact from the active call window, the person also needs to have the Business Communicator Collaboration version.
To use the active call window:
To make a call from the main window, find a contact and double-click the contact’s listing.
Use the communication ribbon at the top of the active call window to do any of the following:
To end the call, click the red handset icon.
To put the call on hold, click the pause icon.
To put yourself on mute, click the microphone icon.
To transfer a call, park a call, start a conference call, or adjust the volume, click the dialpad icon.
Use the menu to the right of the communication ribbon at the top of the active call window to do any of the following:
If you want to IM/chat with the contact, click the chat bubble icon.
If you want to start a video call with the contact, click the video icon.
If you want to share your screen with the contact, click the computer with the arrow icon.
If you want to view the contact’s information, click the information icon.
