Viewing the directory

Business Communicator’s directory lists all employees in your organization and is managed by the administrator. After opening the directory, you can click on a phone number to make a call. You can also use the search feature to search for a contact instead of scrolling through the names in the list.

To view the directory:

  1. From the main window’s menu on the left, click Directory (the globe icon).
Directory (Collaboration version)
  1. To search for a contact, in the Search and Dial field, type your search criteria, then press enter on your keyboard.
  1. After you find the contact, double-click on the record to call the contact.
Calling contact (Collaboration version)
  1. To end the call, from the top of the active call window on the communication ribbon, click the red phone icon.
  1. You can also do any of the following from the top of the active call window on the communication ribbon:

    1. To view and add the contact to your personal contact list, click the information icon.

    2. To put the caller on hold, click Hold (the || icon).

    3. To video call the contact, click the video camera icon to video call the contact.
