Changing the default transfer type on your phone (VVX 50x/60x series)
Your organization's administrator sets the default transfer type for your phone based on the type of transfer you most commonly use—consultative or blind. In most cases, the default transfer type will be consultative, which lets you announce a call prior to completing the transfer. If you want to change your default transfer type, follow the directions below.
The process to change your default transfer type is the same whether you are changing it to the consultative transfer option or blind transfer option.
Note: The last transfer setting used remains as your transfer default type until you reset it to the other transfer type.
To change the default transfer setting:
- Press the Home button.
- Tap the Settings soft key.
- Tap Basic, then tap Preferences.
- Swipe the display up to locate Default Transfer Type, then tap it.
There is a checkmark next to the default transfer option for your phone.
- To switch to the other transfer type, tap the option on the screen.
- Tap Back.
- To exit, press the Home button twice.
