A new exchange. A clear direction.

Today, Lumen begins trading on Nasdaq.

This milestone represents much more than a change in where our stock is listed. It reflects the transformation underway across our company and the future we are building as a technology-focused enterprise networking leader.

The world is experiencing an unprecedented acceleration in digital innovation. Artificial intelligence, cloud computing and increasingly connected digital environments are reshaping how organizations operate and compete. As enterprises move more data, connect more applications and embrace AI at scale, their networks have become more important than ever.

IDC Chief Research & Data Intelligence Officer Meredith Whalan offers this perspective: “As AI workloads scale, server-generated data is forecast to grow nearly fivefold by 2030, reaching 503 zettabytes and accounting for 70% of the world’s data, according to IDC research. This rapid growth is creating unprecedented demand for secure, high-performance networks capable of moving massive amounts of data between clouds, applications, users and AI systems. Organizations increasingly need networking providers that can simplify complexity while delivering the scale required for the AI era. Lumen’s strategy and investments reflect many of the trends we see shaping the next generation of enterprise networking.”

At Lumen, we see tremendous opportunity in helping customers meet these demands.

Over the past several years, we have strengthened our foundation, sharpened our strategy, focused our portfolio and aligned investments around the future of enterprise connectivity.

Nasdaq is home to many of the world's leading technology companies. As Lumen continues its transformation into a technology-focused enterprise networking company, this move reflects our focus on helping customers harness the opportunities created by AI, cloud and growing data demands while creating long-term value for shareholders.

Our path to growth is grounded in the actions we have taken to strengthen the business, sharpen our focus, and align investments with emerging customer needs related to demand for AI, cloud and secure connectivity. Today’s Nasdaq debut marks another milestone in the execution of that strategy.

We’re supporting our growth strategy by simplifying how customers buy, manage and scale connectivity while focusing our portfolio on the areas where Lumen can create the greatest value. Recently, we introduced Lumen® Intelligent Internet, reflecting our commitment to delivering simpler, more digital customer experiences.

As customer expectations evolve, our innovation and progress are enabling us to manage portions of our legacy portfolio for cash and direct resources toward the networking, security and digital platform capabilities that will drive future growth. This disciplined approach allows us to prioritize investment in high-quality, higher-margin growth opportunities while continuing to support existing customers and honor our commitments.

Another key example of how we are accelerating the strategy is our acquisition of Alkira. As enterprises embrace hybrid cloud, AI and increasingly distributed digital environments, they need networking solutions that are simpler to deploy, easier to manage and capable of connecting applications, users and data across complex environments. Alkira's cloud-native networking platform complements the strengths of the Lumen Network and advances our vision of delivering secure, scalable and simplified connectivity experiences. Together, we are expanding our ability to help customers like Koch Enterprises modernize their networks while accelerating innovation in the enterprise networking market.

At the same time, we continue investing in the network capabilities that differentiate Lumen in the market and deliver the high-capacity connectivity enterprises rely on to connect applications, move data and support AI workloads at scale. Lumen is on track to reach 58 million intercity fiber miles by the end of 2031, complemented by approximately 2 petabits of ready capacity across 49 RapidRoutes.

Together, these actions reflect a disciplined strategy for growth: creating simpler digital experiences, focusing investment where Lumen can deliver the greatest value, and strengthening the network, platform and security capabilities that will define the future of enterprise connectivity.

Our move to Nasdaq reflects the progress we have made and the direction we are headed as we continue executing that strategy. That same confidence is at the heart of our new brand campaign, which introduces Lumen as the ambition ready network: built to help enterprises scale, adapt, connect and act on opportunity now.

Transformation is not defined by a single event. It is the result of deliberate decisions that move an organization toward a clearer vision of its future. That vision is reflected not only in the strategic priorities we are advancing, but also in how we are telling our story through our newest brand campaign.

I am proud of the progress we have made and grateful to the employees who are driving this transformation, the customers and partners who place their trust in us and the shareholders who have supported our journey.

We are building momentum, accelerating our growth strategy and excited about the opportunities ahead.

Welcome to the next chapter of Lumen—ready for the ambitions of the AI era.
