Lumen help
If you no longer need a utilization-based threshold alert with Lumen® Dynamic Capacity®, you can delete it from Control Center. Deleting the utilization-based threshold alert means that Control Center will no longer trigger Dynamic Capacity that the service meets that utilization threshold.
Using Control Center, you can set threshold alerts for services and automatically trigger Lumen Dynamic Capacity when utilization reaches a specific percentage. You can specify 2x or 3x your subscribed bandwidth or specify that Control Center automatically selects the option based on utilization.
Using Control Center, you can edit a utilization-based threshold alert with Lumen Dynamic Capacity. You can change the bandwidth triggered, when the threshold alert triggers Dynamic Capacity, or the email address notified when Dynamic Capacity is triggered.
In Network Visibility, you can create threshold alerts (watches or warnings) to be notified when a Lumen service exceeds a specific metric. The performance metrics you can be alerted for vary based on the service you select.
If you no longer need a threshold alert for a service, you can delete it from the Network Visibility dashboard so you don't get notifications for it anymore.
Using Control Center, you can activate Dynamic Capacity on eligible services to temporarily increase bandwidth to 2x or 3x of the subscribed bandwidth.
If you want to change the conditions or delivery for a threshold alert on a Lumen service, you can edit the alert in Network Visibility. For example, you can change the utilization threshold from 50% to 75% or change the email address(es) Control Center sends a threshold alert to.
Using Network Visibility in Lumen Control Center, you can view backbone performance metrics for your network such as latency, packet delivery, or average jitter.
Using Control Center, you can schedule a one-time or recurring Dynamic Capacity event on eligible services to temporarily increase bandwidth to 2x or 3x of the subscribed bandwidth. For recurring events, choose from a daily recurrence or a weekly recurrence on a specific day.
Using Network Visibility, you can create and download several types of summary reports (in Excel or CSV format): active end to end, active POP to POP, interfaces, network management, and class of service. Report types vary based on your Lumen services.
Using Network Visibility (within Control Center), you can view topology information for Lumen wavelength services.: view a map of the working and protected (if applicable) paths for your service.
Using Network Visibility (within Control Center), you can view WAN- and LAN-side interfaces for a managed router on a Lumen network service. While viewing interfaces for a managed router, you can view utilization metrics for each interface.
For managed routers on a Lumen service, Network Visibility (available within Control Center) shows details for the router: device ID, management IP address, vendor and model, etc. If the router configuration is available, Control Center adds a link to view the configuration file.
Using Network Visibility (within Control Center), you can view utilization metrics for Lumen network services.
Using Network Visibility (within Control Center), you can view performance metrics for Lumen network services.
Use Network Visibility (in Control Center) to monitor and measure performance for your Lumen services. It collects network-performance metrics, summarizes them to isolate performance issues, and reports the results. Select various network components, time ranges, and sample sizes to view key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the health of your services.
Use Network Visibility (within Control Center) to view environmental metrics (CPU and memory) for a managed router on a Lumen service.
