Lumen Private Cloud on VMware Cloud Foundation is built with a default catalog ((siteID) (data center) cl01 Lumen), which uses a subscription model. All of the contents of the upstream publisher are automatically downloaded to the default catalog.
Because your default catalog is a subscriber to the master catalog service, the contents vary as new vApp templates are added and older vApp templates are retired. Currently, this model is all or nothing, meaning because it is a subscriber, you get all of the contents of the upstream catalog. If you delete any of the vApp templates in your default catalog, they will be added again the next time your catalog synchronizes. If you want to opt out, you can do either of the following:
- Unsubscribe from the automatic synchronization of the catalog. The contents of the subscribed catalog remain intact, but will not be updated to reflect any changes (e.g., new templates, template updates, template removals.
- Delete the catalog. The catalog its contents will be deleted. (You can move the vApp templates to another catalog before you delete the catalog.)
