Creating an app
In Lumen® Developer Center, you create an app to generate an API key and secret for an API product(s). Once you create an app, you can edit it (e.g., to update the name or adjust the products the app covers), or delete it if you no longer need it.
To create an app:
- Click MY APPS (on the blue bar).
Developer Center lists the apps you created.
- Click CREATE APP.
- Type a name and a contact email for the app.
- In the Expiration field, use the toggle select an expiration period for the app.
- Select the environment you want to add an app for. (By default, Developer Center selects Production.)
- In the API Products field, click the checkbox next to the API(s) you want to use with your app.
- In the Accounts section, click the checkbox next to the customer number(s) you want to use with your app.
- Click SAVE.
Developer Center creates the app, sends a request to the API team, and sets the status to Pending Approval. Once the API team approves your app, Developer Center changes the status to Approved. (If your app is denied, Developer Center shows a status of Declined.)
