Lumen^® Dynamic Connections IP VPN support: Overview

With Dynamic Connections IP VPN create real-time, layer-3 network connections between IP VPN endpoints and cloud providers such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. Connections are billed hourly and require no long-term contracts.

Managing Dynamic Connections IP VPN

Use Control Center to create and manage connections:

Routing Option 1 - Support the 3 RFC 1918 aggregates (default): supports 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16. Aggregate routes will be created and the Lumen PE will be configured to advertise these aggregates toward the cloud provider gateway router on the connector-specific eBGP session.
Routing Option 2 - Advertise All and Block Specific Based on Community: select this option to advertise all routes to the cloud provider except those marked with the blocking community. The blocking communities are AWS- 6745:8601, Azure-6745:8600, Google-6745:8604, Oracle-6745:8606
Routing Option 3 - Customer Defined Aggregates And/Or Allow Specific Community: select this option to enter your aggregate subnets. The Lumen PE eBGP connector session will be configured with a policy to advertise these aggregates towards the cloud provider gateway router. The BGP session will also advertise any routes that contain community 6745:8610. Default behavior is to advertise no routes unless an aggregate is defined and/or prefixes are marked.
